My wife and I were pastors of a traditional American church from 1990 to1995 in Ann Arbor. We began to meet many Japanese and felt the Lord wanted us to devote our full time to them. Since 1995 we have been Assembly of God missionaries to Internationals (mostly Asians). Our firstlove remains with the Japanese. We have probably worked with about 1000 Japanese families since. Our first point of contact is usually an ESL or American Cooking class andthen we invite them to various Bible studies and our international churchmeeting. Of course we get individually involved with many of them. They come to this area as research scholars at the Univ or salarymen at the various automotive companies. There are about 10,000 Japanese in theDetroit area.
