The Buffalo Japanese Fellowship (BJCF) is an outreach to Japanese in the Buffalo Area. Retired missionaries Cliff & Marion Schiefer (JCBM) entered this ministry upon their retirement from Japan. The fellowship consists of a weekly Japanese Sunday School Class, a weekly Bible Study, and a monthly Informal Worship (Sanbi to Seisho no Tsudoi). There are also special outreach events such as a July 4th Japanese Picnic and a Christmas Tsudoi at the Schiefer home. We also travel to Niagara Falls, Canada once
a month, to minister to a group of Christians along with a Japanese pastor who comes from Toronto, Canada once a month.. We are now planning joint worship services with both groups. Sometimes in co-operation with ISI, we have Japanese Students coming to our fellowship. We have had the joy of seeing some come to Christ and others being baptized.
I usually preach twice a month at the Fort Collins Japanese Christian Fellowship, a ministry started by Jonathan Bartel in 1999.
