Bio: Rev. Dr. Rick Chuman is the Executive Director of JEMS (Japanese Evangelical Missionary Society). He has been at JEMS for 12 years. Prior to JEMS, he was a pastor in the OMS Holiness Churches of North America for over 20 years. He has a BA in linguistics, an M.Div. in OT languages, and a D. Min. in Marriage and Family Ministries. He’s married to Kathy (25 years), and has two kids in college, a son, Timothy (3rd year) and a daughter, Kaylie (2nd year). He enjoys trout fishing and eating out with the family. When in Japan, he makes sure to visit an onsen, eat unagi, and enjoy natto with eggs.
