Why is evangelism in Japan so difficult? What can we do about it? These are some of the issues that we will be
focusing on to make an effective difference.

Nakamura, Richard was born and raised in a Buddhist home in Seattle. He became a Christian in
1979 at the age of 19. He served at Faith Bible as assistant pastor from 1986-1989. In 1989 Richard joined SEND
International and headed to Japan as a missionary where he served in Kawasaki, Yokohama, and Kashiwa. He
also served at Eikou Japanese Christian church in Kirkland from 1994-1996. Richard and Keri were married
in 1992 and have 5 children. They are now on home service in Bellevue, Washington.
